Day 1: Arrive in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris representative who will transfer you to Arusha for dinner and overnight

Day: 2 Arusha National Park (Walking and game drive safari)

After breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park. Here you will participate in a half day walking safari and a half day game drive. You will be accompanied by an armed ranger for the walk, who will guide you through the forest up to the waterfall and the point for viewing the black and white colobus monkeys. During the game drive you will see the 7 Lakes of Momella and the Ngurduto Crater. Later return back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day walking safari to Mt Meru

Today's tour will include a game drive and on foot safari on the lower slopes of Mt. Meru. We are almost guaranteed of close encounters with the resident herd of Cape Buffalo and many of the giraffe that inhabit the park.

Day 4 Mto wa Mbu - Karatu

After breakfast and a short drive, you arrive at the multi-cultural town of Mto wa Mbu. Here, a local guide will take you to experience the daily life in the town. You will see coffee and banana plantations (with over 30 varieties of bananas), taste banana beer and visit a local school. For lunch you will enjoy traditional African food. In the afternoon the journey continues to Karatu in the Nogorongoro Crater highlands. You will notice how the landscape changes from the dry lowlands to the fertile and moist highlands. There will be time for photo stops and to admire the stunning views over the plains below. After your arrival there might be time for an optional walk in the coffee plantations to learn about coffee production. Later settle down for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Full day walking safari to Empakaai and Lake Natron:

Today you start walking with Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris guide from Empakaai to Lake Natron. We descend the outer hills of the Great Rift Valley; we walk through the open plains of the Embulbul depression, passing through Naiobi village. We have also the great opportunity to meet the local Maasai. Ol Doinyo Lengai and Mount Meru are seen along the way.

Day 6: Full day walking safari to Olmoti Crater:

Another chance to stretch our legs when we hike from the Nainokanoka ranger post through the forest up to the top of a spectacular waterfall with an armed ranger.
The waterfall is part of the Munge River which flows through the crater on its way to Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 7: Full day game to Ngorongoro Crater:

You will wake early for breakfast then transferred to Ngorongoro Crater with your packed lunch. Upon arrival you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq. km) which is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, rhino, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. You will continue with your game drive in this wonderful caldera. Break for lunch at a picnic site within the crater. Later after lunch you will ascend to the top of the crater then transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast you will be picked by Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris driver-guide. With packed lunch, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara National park for a full day game drive. Upon arrival you will start you will start your extensive game drive in this beautiful park. You will have lunch break followed by more game drives till later in the evening when you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Lake Manyara national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

Day 9 and 10 Drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will be picked by Super Africa Wildlife Adventure Safaris driver-guide. With packed lunch, you will be transferred to Tarangire National park for a full day game drive. Upon arrival you will start you will start your extensive game drive in this beautiful park. You will have lunch break followed by more game drives till later in the evening when you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Tarangire National Park with its huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River and seasonal swamps is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Animals gather at the river and you should be able to see elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks all year round. Furthermore the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions.

Day 11: Departure
